DETECTIVES hunting for missing Hanwell schoolgirl Alice Gross were in Latvia today.
They are working closely with police from that country over the disappearance of Latvian Arnis Zalkalns from his Ealing home. He is the prime suspect in the case.
Police have reviewed 1,251 documents, spoken to 1,067 people and more than 1,000 calls have now been made to the incident room.
As well as searching open land, canals and rivers, they have visited more than 30 properties including houses, derelict buildings, outbuildings and empty homes.
Officers are thanking the local community for their patience and support as well as the wider public for their help.
This Thursday (September 25) will be four weeks from the day that Alice left home as usual, and was last seen.
Detectives will be staging a reconstruction along the route that Alice last walked in a bid to trace any further witnesses.
One of the Met's own volunteer police cadets will play the part of Alice.
