OLYMPIC organiser Lord Coe is to visit Ealing to talk about how the borough can benefit from the 2012 Games.
He will hold a public meeting on May 3 to field questions and talk about what the Games will do for residents.
But Cllr Nigel Sumner, who was recently been elected as the borough's representative on the London Games Committee, admitted Ealing had only one facility which could be used as a training ground for athletes.
The portfolio holder for health and community well-being said: "Only Southall Sports Centre table tennis facility has world class standards.
"We are working to submit a joint west London proposal with other boroughs."
He added: "We have ambitions to build a 50-metre pool in Acton."
The West London College could also be adapted to meet the tough Olympic standards, Cllr Sumner said.
A report published on Tuesday by MPs has criticised the Government over the financing of the games, with it already costing an extra £900million more than planned.
