THE 22nd annual Open House London takes place this weekend.
South Acton Residents Action Group is leading a two-hour walk that begins at the RIBA award-winning, wildlife-themed Chiswick Park Business Estate.
The first walk begins at midday tomorrow (Saturday) while the second is on Sunday at 2.30pm.
Other focal points are the homes of William Willett, builder and originator of Daylight Saving Time, and Richard White, co-founder of the Law Society as well as South Acton Estate, birthplace of painter Patrick Caulfield.
Open House London is the capital’s largest annual festival of architecture and design.
It provides free and open access across 30 boroughs to more than 800 examples of historic and contemporary buildings, on-site projects and public spaces.
In homage to the Victorian critic, John Ruskin, the Ruskinian Walk, as it’s being called, encourages ramblers to appreciate the craftsmanship of the urban environment otherwise taken for granted.
