ACTON, Northolt and Southall leisure and sports centres, run by Everyone Active, are hosting a free open day next Friday, September 26, as part of National Fitness Day.
To mark the occasion and encourage people of all ages and abilities to get active, the centres have laid on a day of free activities from 9am–7.30pm.
Activities will include gym taster sessions and challenges, fitness assessments (for those aged 16 and over), table tennis and personal training taster sessions.
Group exercise classes will also be available, such as indoor cycling, pilates, yoga, Bollywood dancing, legs, bums and tums and Armageddon, a new class created by celebrity trainer Richard Callender.
For youngsters there will be children’s parties with dancing and arts and crafts, along with Active Kids sessions and urban dance classes.
There will be free swimming lessons at the Acton centre and free swimming for children accompanied by a full-paying adult at Northolt.
Everyone Active contract manager Mark Leahy. “We are passionate about encouraging people to participate in 30 minutes of moderate physical activity five times a week.”
