ORGANISERS of the Ealing Half Marathon have confirmed that there are just a few places remaining for this year’s race.

They are urging anyone who wants to take part to go to the website www.ealinghalfmarathon.com and sign up as soon as possible.

The award-winning race, on September 28, is on fully closed roads, starting and finishing in Lammas Park.

Registration is currently still open, with entry fees of £32 for affiliated runners and £34 for unaffiliated.

All finishers receive a distinctive medal and an online e-goody bag after the race.

A total of 6,500 places were available for 2014, and the organisers are expecting a record-breaking year as the race continues to grow in size and popularity.

Runners will be travelling from Brazil, Singapore, Russia, Hong Kong, USA, Australia, Canada and many European countries to take part and experience the #EalingFeeling

The Ealing Half Marathon was voted number one race for Best Atmosphere in 2013 by Runner’s World UK and Best Half Marathon at The Running Awards 2014.

Limited places for the Ealing Mini Mile, which starts at 9.15am and takes in a one-mile route around Lammas Park, are available.

The start of the Ealing Half Marathon is at 9am. Entries will close at midnight on Wednesday, September 24, or earlier if sold out.

Race director Kelvin Walker said: “If you enjoy running and want to experience a well-organised, easily-accessible road race with great crowd support, then you should secure one of the last remaining places. See you at the start line!”

Official race partners include ASICS, evian®, Clif Bar, Up & Running, Move Clinics, Mercedes-Benz Brentford, Xempo, 1e, Crowne Plaza, The New Inn, Ealing Broadway Centre, Ealing Gazette, Ealing Eagles and Ealing Council. The headline charity for 2014 is Alzheimer’s Society.
