A MAN of 25, arrested on suspicion of the murder of missing Hanwell schoolgirl Alice Gross, has been released on bail.
Alice, 14, a Brentside High School pupil, was last seen near the Grand Union Canal at Brentford on August 28.
The man, who was arrested on Saturday afternoon, has been given police bail until later this month.
Another man, aged 51, who was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of murder, was released yesterday with no further action to be taken.
Police said the men had no connection to each other.
Despite the arrests for murder, police said the case remains a missing persons investigation.
