A TIMES reader will be climbing Ben Nevis in September to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Gini Moore will be tackling the UK’s highest peak in September.
She wants to raise awareness of the inherited disease from which her 21-year-old nephew, Bradley, has suffered since he was a baby.
“Over the years, Bradley has been admitted to hospital countless times because of his condition,” explained Gini.
“His stays usually last between two and four weeks and it’s fair to say they render him quite weak.”
Bradley, who has developed CF-related diabetes and cataracts, will need regular checks for the rest of his life.
Gini, a lecturer, has previously volunteered at the London Marathon and the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Asthma UK.
She took part in the Richmond to Windsor bike ride last year to raise money for that charity.
