A NEW Indian-style cafe has opened in Ealing, offering customers a range of Brit-Asian salads, curries and desserts.
Angela Malik, 42, is a Scottish-Indian chef and entrepreneur. Her new venture, Modern Asian Deli, overlooking Ealing Green, opened in the first week of April.
She already runs a successful cookery school in Acton and is a regular panellist on Radio 4’s The Kitchen Cabinet.
The menu includes treats such as butter chicken, aubergine and chickpea curry, Asian sandwiches and salads and a selection of cakes and pastries, many of which are gluten-free. There is also a Lassi Bar, offering Indian-inspired smoothies and shakes.
“I’ve long been a resident of the borough and I am so proud to be opening in the heart of beautiful Ealing,” said Angela.
“I am passionate about good, clean, great-tasting food, and to be able to bring my cooking to life for the people of Ealing is a dream come true.
“Kiss goodbye to horrible factory-made sandwiches and say hello to the freshest, tastiest food you may well have ever eaten!”
The Modern Asian Deli is open seven days a week. Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat 9am-8pm and Sun 11am-5pm.
