EALING residents are invited to hear about the future of their health services at a meeting next week.

It is being held on Wednesday at 7:30pm in Ealing Town Hall.

John Lister, director of Health Emergency, and Dr Louise Irvine, from the Campaign to save Lewisham Hospital, will be reporting on the findings of the Peoples’ Inquiry into London’s health service.

The report has taken submissions from doctors and other clinicians, politicians and patients.

Ealing Council leader Julian Bell will also be speaking and the meeting will be chaired by Eve Turner, of Ealing TUC Save Our NHS Campaign.

Fellow Ealing campaigner Oliver New said: "Some politicians have been deliberately misleading the public by proclaiming that the A&E departments have been saved.

“Sadly, that's just hype to undermine the ongoing campaign to keep our much-needed health services.”

He added: “The public meeting will highlight what is really going on in Ealing and across London.”
