THE countdown is on for Ealing Summer Festivals 2014, with the event dates announced this week.

Community favourites Greenford and Acton carnivals will kick-start the celebrations on June 28 and July 5, with live music performances, market stalls, fun fair rides and more.

Ealing Beer Festival will bring Walpole Park to life with hundreds of varieties of real ale and cider on offer from 2-5 July.

The festivals will continue with five comedy nights in Walpole Park on July 11-12 and 16-18, with two days of blues and rock at Ealing Blues Festival on July 19 and 20.

Ealing Jazz Festival will round up the festivities in Walpole Park with five days of performances featuring local artists and big name acts from July 23-27, while the London Mela will liven up Gunnersbury Park on August 31.

Tickets for Ealing Comedy Festival will be available online from the first week of May. All other event tickets can be bought on the day from the box office.
