THE doors of the London Transport Museum Depot in Museum Way, off Gunnersbury Lane, Acton, will be open to the public on March 15-16 for a weekend of bus-themed activities.
A steam bus will be running in the grounds and visitors will have access to the depot’s vast collections, plus model layouts and curator tours as it continues to celebrate the Year of the Bus.
The depot is home to more than 400,000 objects, including posters, engineering drawings, signs and an extensive collection of historic road and rail vehicles.
Booking information at www.ltmuseum.co.uk. Tickets are £10 (£8 concession). Children and young people aged 17 and under go free.
The depot will be open on both days from 11am-5pm.
