The Sri Lankan mini-cab driver accused of murdering an Asian man in Southall as part of a race war is to face trial at the Old Bailey. Arunasalam Saravanamuthu, 31 of Long Lane, Hillingdon, was remanded in custody and ordered to appear at the Central Criminal Court for a preliminary hearing on September 4, when he faced Horseferry Road Court on Monday. He allegedly ran over Shavinder Bhattiin, 30, in Fairfield Road in May.
