Police have warned people to keep their valuables under wraps after an Asian woman was stripped of her jewellery at knife point in Hanwell last week.
The 53-year-old had four rings ripped from her fingers by two youths on a footbridge close to High Lane in the Brent Valley Golf Course at 1pm last Wednesday. The men are believed to strike regularly in the area. The first was described as about 20-years-old, black and 5ft 7in with a West Indian accent, wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt. He was accompanied by another 20-year-old black male, also wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket. Sergeant Glenn Chandler urged people to dress down so as not to attract attention with expensive jewellery. All information to PC Eddie Leftwich on 0208 246 9473.
