Acton residents are warned to be on the alert after two female pensioners were robbed by a man claiming to be from the council.
The 93 and 87-year-old residents opened the door of their Winchester Street home on Wednesday, June 28, to a man who said he had come to see about some roadworks outside.
Before they could stop them, he entered their house and took £200 in cash.
The man was described as having ginger hair, being about 25 and white. He was about 5ft 10in and wore blue trousers and a blue top. Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Clooney at Ealing CID on 020 8246 9422.
