Nominate a council officer
RESIDENTS are being urged to vote for their favourite Ealing Council employee.
Council officers or teams can be nominated for the council's Annual Employee Awards Scheme, but nominations must be received before Saturday, May 31.
Anyone who submits a nomination will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win £200.
Darra Singh, chief executive at the council, said: "Many of our staff have very challenging role and some of the stories I hear confirm the impact they have on the lives of people in the borough."
Freepost forms are available at the borough's libraries. Nominations can also be made online at www.ealing.gov.uk.

Just checked the date and it isn't the first of April.

Anyone know the name of the binmen who ply their trade along Horn Lane?
What a stupid scheme - the people doing the work are larely anonymous, the only Ealing council employees I know are the bickering space-wasters we see daily in the local press.
I vote for the bloke who has to ensure the sewers are clean. Let's see Darra Singh shake his hand when he presents the award!
