Athletes to run for fun

THE fourth annual Pitshanger Fun Run is taking place this weekend.

Young and old athletes will take to the streets tomorrow for this year's run, which is organised by Fit For Sport, an organisation promoting healthy living for children.

More than 150 people entered last year's rain-soaked event, with runners able to choose between 2.5km or 5km runs.

The annual event was first organised in 2005 to encourage young people as well as adults to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

The event is due to start at 11am in Pitshanger Lane, and ends in Pitshanger Park.
