Greenford nightclub licence review

THE future of a Greenford nightclub will be decided at a hearing at Ealing Town Hall this morning.

Police stepped in to shut the Palm Tree nightclub in Greenford Road in January after the owner repeatedly failed to upgrade CCTV systems to the required standard, which sparked a licence review.

A document prepared by police alleges a string of other licence breaches including repeatedly playing music despite the club not having an entertainment licence, not employing door staff and trading after-hours.

A panel of councillors will sit to decide whether the owner of the club, Nasir Khan, will be able to continue trading.
