A GROUP of bellydancers shook their way into the finals at the Aylesbury Waterside's first birthday party which won them a starring role in this year's pantomime.
Tina-Louise and The Bellyrinas, who train in High Wycombe, competed against eight other contestants in the final after being selected from open auditions.
They all performed at the theatre's first birthday party to win a one-off performance in panto Dick Whittington, which starts on December 9.
The belly dancing troupe were chosen by the judges, which included the panto stars, Jonathan Wilkes and Christian Patterson.
Jonny said: ‘This has been one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever been involved in making. The calibre of acts was just phenomenal and if I could, I would love to include all of the finalists in this year’s pantomime, but we had to choose one.
"The amount of talent on stage was amazing and I cannot think of a better way for the Waterside to have celebrated their very special first birthday.’ The date the Bellyrinas will be starring in the show is soon to be confirmed.
