IT is easy to see why Dave Gorman can pack people into the Wycombe Swan. Not only is very likeable but he is very funny and adds a twist to his comedy show.
Dave Gorman's Powerpoint Presentation is what it says on the tin. Throughout the show he uses a large projector screen to highlight and bring his set to life.
And it works. The added extra keeps you enthralled in the show and his set flew by.
One of the best bits is when he took web comments from a story about the British flag being made in France.
He put together all the most ridiculous comments from stories across the web and performed it as a 'poem.' It was brilliant.
Gorman also talks about the crazy world of marketing and the ploys people in marketing use to encourage people to buy their products.
The fake Twitter conversations which are used on the front of phone adverts are enough to have you giggling in your seat.
He was supported by Jay Foreman. My heart sank a little bit when he came onstage with a guitar as I normally don't find guitars and comedians mix too well.
Foreman's one liners were the best as the songs sometimes took a little while to get to the joke. He has a long way to go to get to Gorman's standard but he was a good warm up.
Gorman is touring until November 28.
Other comedians coming up at the Swan: Omid Djalili, November 26, 8pm. Tickets £20. To book call 01494512000 or go to www.wycombeswan.co.uk
