Chesham Musical Theatre excelled themselves with their recent production of this very entertaining musical.

Masterfully directed by Julian Evans and with clever choreography from Claire Hodgson the action was slick and fast. With an extremely strong cast who performed to a very high standard, together with a well rehearsed and well disciplined chorus the evening was a great success.

The story is of a failing producer who teams up with a timid accountant and they decide that they can make more money by having a show that is a failure so that they can cover their costs and keep the rest of the money raised to put on the show.

Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom set about making a musical Spring Time in Germany. Unfortunately for them the show is a roaring success and they face jail for cheating their backers.

With a live band which is always a bonus, some superb singing and melodious harmonies, together with a very clever and funny script this was an all round success. T

he group are fortunate in having so many talented performers and especially such a great cast of men whose singing and dancing was splendid and the audience demonstrated their approval with a standing ovation. This was evening of dazzling entertainment.
