Almost 50 years after the mascot World Cup Willie inspired England to triumph, a group of Watford friends have created Buster to try to inspire Engerland this time round.
Buster, a man in a dog costume, was created four years ago after the group all lost close family members to cancer and illness.
The mascot is now at the forefront of a new World Cup song aiming to raise money for The Bobby Moore Fund.
Kerry Wynn, from Watford, and her friends have travelled up and down the country filming The Buster Dance with celebrities including McFly, Ricky Gervais and Jonathon Ross and numerous top footballers, as well as nurses, tradespeople and football fans.
Kerry and her friends also feature on the song with the Watford Grammar School for Boys’ school choir singing in the chorus.
“We believe this will be the anthem of the summer and the four years of work will be worthwhile when we see everyone joining in The Buster Dance,” says Kerry. “And it will raise money and awareness for the most worthwhile of causes whilst doing it.“
