GBH accused fails to show
AN ARREST warrant has been issued by police for a man who failed to turn up at court yesterday.
Astrit Shepellzai, 27, from Hounslow, was due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a 43-year-old man outside the Wolf pub, in Norwood Road, in February.
His co-defendant, Dritan Hekuri, 24, of Victoria Road, Southall, did appear at the court and was bailed to return on Friday, May 23.

Why was this man given bail in the first place? It would appear that he is of non-British origin, he was accused of a violent crime, he should have been remanded in custody pending trial.
As it is, he's probably done us all a favour and buggered off back to his country of origin. However, I doubt that his victim will be comforted by that fact, and I'd imagine that his accomplice will be looking at ferry schedules with renewed interest as he , too, is given bail.
