Council housing decision tonight

CHANGES to the organisation which provides council housing in the borough are expected to be agreed by councillors tonight.

Council officers will take over some elements of Ealing Homes' duties including contract procurement, computer links and accounting if a report is agreed by Ealing Council's cabinet this evening.

Councillors and tenants are unhappy at the way the organisation set up to administer the council housing stock is working currently.

Other decisions facing councillor this evening include approving plans for town centres drawn up by contractors, approving funding for the Good for Greenford project and approving the building of a new business development centre on Southall Town Hall.

The meeting starts at 7pm in Ealing Town Hall.
