Bill Mudge

Published on 24/04/2015

W H (Bill) Mudge Jan/30/1925 - July/31/2014 A gathering of Bill Mudge’s family and friends will take place here in High Wycombe, celebrating and toasting his life. His ashes will be scattered on Wheeler End Common, joining those of his predeceased wife, Iris (Major). Schooled at Mill End Road School, followed by service in Fleet Air Arm in Scarpa Flow, Bill apprenticed at Broomwade Engineers and was their sales engineer in Manchester, before emigrating to Canada with his family in 1959. Bill worked for the Canadian division of Broomwade until moving out west, to British Columbia in 1967. There he worked for many local engineering firms before retiring in 1987. Bill spent much of his time traveling with his wife, playing golf, reading and socializing with his many friends. After Iris passed in 1989 he continued to partake in all his favourite activities and in later years found companionship with Ellen Curle. Bill is survived by his son Barry (Monica), daugther Sandra (Ed), their children and grandchildren. He is survived here in Britain by his sister Barbara Bristow, (Brixham), sister and brother in law Avril Burr (Southery), and Laurie Major (Totteridge), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. We’d like to thank all who have sent their condolences and well wishes these past months. We are consoled by the kind words and are happy to bring Bill home to High Wycombe.
